Jrue Holiday 30 Points Full Highlights (1/31/2017)

In the midst of all these teams imploding, I would’ve liked to see the Pelicans beat the Raptors tonight. Man, I beat the Raptors would’ve imploded so hard. Team-only meetings with Kyle Lowry not invited, angry quotes to the press, cloaks and daggers involving separate posses in the front office, riots in the streets of Toronto, it would have been sweet.

Instead, Lowry hit a game-winning jumper, invalidating the efforts of the Pelicans and Jrue Holiday’s almost-season-high-except-for-those-33-points-he-scored-a-week-ago 30 points. DAMMIT. The problem was, the Pellies weren’t riding their hot hand hard enough. If they had just given Holiday all those possessions that his scrublike teammates used, it would’ve been an easy win and a one-way ticket to implosion-town for the Raptors.

I bet the Raptors would’ve traded Lowry if they lost this one in a desperate attempt to shake up their roster. I seriously bet that’s what would’ve happened. Lowry for Snell or something stupid, a panicked move made by a trigger-happy Masai Ujiri. And Alvin Gentry had to take it away from us. Him and Anthony Davis.
