I’ve stated multiple times that I want to see Brook Lopez traded to another team where he can be more appreciated, more noticed. To see him get the recognition he deserves, playing a meaningful role on a playoff-type team. To see him get another All-Star berth.
I’ve changed my mind about that. I want to stay right there in Brooklyn. So he can keep having games like this.
If he went to another team, there’s no way he’d get the same role and touches. The Nets are so bereft of talent that he gets to do whatever he wants on the court. Some of the threes he shoots now are DEEP, but it doesn’t matter, because him shooting those shots is better than even letting Isaiah Whitehead touch the ball. He has the ultimate green light, a green light that would be significantly dimmer on a team that was capable of winning games sometimes.
What we have here is a real gem; 36 points and 6 threes, with some amount of blocks thrown in there. Not sure that it’s 8, some of them were pretty iffy, but it was a good amount. Of course, it wasn’t enough, because whatever he does is never enough, and the Nets ended up losing a close one to the Bucks (who really suck). On second thought, yeah, he needs to be traded. I want to see him win some games again.
