I’m tired of Al-Farouq Aminu. He’s been in the league for 7 seasons now, and while he’s a decent player (not this year tho), he’s not very exciting. If he was a rookie or something I’d probably be hyped for him, but he’s not, so I’m not. The NBA needs fresh blood.
Here’s what I’m thinking: can’t we get Alade Aminu in the league? You know, Al-Farouq’s brother. I think I remember seeing something about him when Nigeria and the USA played in the Olympics 5 years ago. Alade has got to be almost as good as his bro, right? He’s three years older, so that’s three years of time to get better at the art of ball.
It says on Wikipedia that Alade is playing for something called “Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut”, which is in Lebanon. You know who else played in LeBronon? Hassan Whiteside! Now you are hyped. Hyped for Alade Aminu. I’m too lazy to look up stats for him, but I bet he’s dominating hard even though he probably can’t speak the local language at all. Imagine how good he’d be in a country where everyone speaks English! The 76ers should at least sign him to a 10-day, and I bet we can see him match Al-Farouq’s 23 points tonight on a semi-nightly basis.
