It’s really super great that Dante “Wrecks ‘Em” Exum has finally had a good scoring game in the NBA. All these years of waiting for Jazz fans has finally paid off. The future begins now, and I am so ultra stoked for Exum and all those who never stopped believing. Really, really happy. Wow. Just great.
But would it have killed him to get his career high in a way that wasn’t just layups? He hits a three at the beginning, which gets you hyped for the vid, and then… layups. Layups or him getting fouled on layups. YAWN. This is like a Ramon Sessions vid or something, totally boring, totally lame.
Jazz fans probably wonder why I’m complaining, because they’ve been waiting for Exum to drive aggressively to the hole for three years now. They want him to not just shoot threes, but to use his quick first step to finish at the rim. That’s great. If I’m a Jazz fan, I see this layup-heavy performance and am hyped for his development as a player. But I’m not a Jazz fan. I’m an NBA fan, and I want variety in my highlight vids.
