Jose Calderon 14 Points Full Highlights (3/11/2017)

This is kind of surprising. I thought Jose Calderon was done for real this time. He got some time in Los Angeles, even earning a few starts, but then they shelved him, and I thought that was gonna be it. The end of Calderon’s memorable NBA career. Memorable in the sense that Raptors fans still have nightmares where Calderon pounds the ball into dust and Andrea Bargnani pouts and shoots soft Euro jumpers.

When Calderon got picked up by the Hawks (after getting waived by the Lakers AND Warriors), I didn’t think much of it. How foolish of me! Of course the Hawks needed an actual backup PG that wasn’t Malcolm Delaney! The Hawks commentators seem to think that he’ll be a good piece for the playoffs, but I’m not convinced. He’s a savvy vet, sure. But at this point in his career, is there any way he can make up on offense what he gives up on defense? Does it matter? Why am I asking this question when I don’t even care about defense?
