Vince Carter is old now. Really old. 40 whole years of life have passed before his weary eyes. That’s as many as four tens. And that’s terrible.
When was the last time someone this old scored this many points in the NBA? I’m way, WAY too lazy to figure it out, so I’m just gonna offer that Steve Nash didn’t manage it, although that dude did manage 19 on his 40th birthday (check out my highlights for some tears!). I don’t even know HOW someone would figure it out. I’ll wait for Zach Lowe or someone smart to tweet it out and then I can regurgitate the factoid like a good drone.
Anyway, yeah, Vince Carter scoring 24 on perfect 8-for-8 shooting while his former teammate’s team failed to contain him in any way is one of the better occurrences of the season. Typical Bucks. Grrrr. I’m so mad. We would have won if VC hadn’t decided that tonight was the night to relive Vinsanity, if hadn’t decided that tonight was the night to try and humiliate Jason Kidd back onto the court. It almost worked, if you look closely during the second half, you can notice that Kidd almost subs himself in a couple of times.
