I will reserve final judgment on Nik Stauskas’ career until after he gets on a team that isn’t dumpster-fiery. That doesn’t mean, however, that I’m going to stop using my “Sucksass” nickname for him, because that thing is really sweet and still relevant. Note that I refuse to use that other nickname for him, a nickname which doesn’t even make sense unlike mine which is perfectly sensible.
Stauskas has been showing some flashes of being a competent player this year. More flashes at the beginning, when he was one of the league’s most efficient players, but he did have a 24-point game recently. Would a bust ever score 24 in a single game? Don’t provide examples of busts who have. I don’t care. I’m trying to make a point here, and that point is that Stauskas has gotten demonstrably better after his disastrous rookie season, the one where DeMarcus Cousins made him cry.
