It’s kind of interesting to listen to commentators knowing that they don’t know how the game is going to turn out. Like, for the last two Georgios “The Greek Peak” Papagiannis scores, they are kind of subdued, mentioning what nice touch he has and stuff like that without excitement. They didn’t even know that the Kings would end up winning, coming way back from 18 down mid-way through the 4th quarter. They surely would have been more enthused had they known that Papagiannis’ buckets were part of a stirring comeback.
However Papagiannis’ career turns out, he will forever be immortalized in the NBA’s YouTube vid of the comeback, both with his scoring and his passing (call him Jokic). Just the way Jon Brockman was immortalized when the Kings came back from 35 down against the Bulls a couple years ago. I’m using the term “immortalized” very lightly here, as you can tell.
