It is human nature to try to compare things that are visually similar, even if their true characteristics are vastly different. So it’s not really my fault what I say next.
Taurean Prince is a lot like Tony Snell.
I tasked myself with formulating an NBA comparison for Prince and that’s all I could come up with. Because they’re both very dark-skinned, they both have or had braids, and they both have flat, emotionless faces. But this comparison is somewhat defensible because they’re both low-volume players, they’re roughly the same height as each other, and both have made three-pointers a significant part of their offensive arsenal.
It’s sort of like when you have to compare a white player to somebody, it’s always another white player, and you can usually make it seem like you’re not racist by pointing out the ways that they’re actually alike that aren’t skin color. I’m doing the same thing here.
I also thought about comparing Prince to Kent Bazemore, but I only came up with that one because they’re on the same team. I’m not very good at this.
