Tyler Ulis is pretty much putting up stats by default at this point. As everyone knows by now, the Suns don’t have another active PG, so Ulis gets to do whatever he wants. And what he wants is to take a lot of shots and make a lot of passes. Just what a modern-day PG is supposed to do.
Ulis is still feeling his way through things, so his percentages are taking a big hit as he tries to do maybe a little too much scoring-wise. If that sentence was too negative for you, I’ll acknowledge that his assist-to-turnover ratio during this late-season stretch has been very nice. Ball protection is an important part of the NBA. Just ask LeBron James.
