Malcolm Brogdon 16 Points/9 Assists Full Highlights (3/29/2017)

Malcolm Brogdon pretty much single-handedly dad-dicked the Boston Celtics in the fourth quarter tonight. That last shot over the flaccid and impotent Avery Bradley? Classic. Right up there in classic Boston NBA moments with “Havlicek stole the ball!” and “Paul Pierce wheelchair”. They’re gonna be playing that shot on ESPN Classic for years to come, if that channel even exists anymore.

Brogdon being so damn SOLID has almost made me forget that Matthew Dellavedova was supposed to be, you know, good. He’s definitely not, but it doesn’t matter anymore. Brogdon is the PG of the Bucks’ future. Delly can be a semi-competent backup while Brogdon solidly solidifies the Bucks’ starting lineup with his solid solidity. Here’s a stat for those unconvinced of his solidness: he has 19 assists in the last two games with only 1 turnover.

The Bucks homer commentary crew seem to think that Brogdon still has a chance in the ROY of the year race, but that’s not going to happen. Brogdon might contribute more to winning basketball than Dario Saric, but since when do voters care about that? Stats above all, and that’s probably how it should be.
