Vince Carter 21 Points Full Highlights (3/29/2017)

With this game, Vince Carter passed Ray Allen for 22nd on the all-time scoring list. He now sits at 24511 points, which seems like an awful lot. How is that only 22nd? If I scored that many points I would demand to be in the top 10 at the very least. Maybe top 5. Think about how many buckets that is! 8862 buckets, if you want the exact figure on Carter’s dominance.

Next up on the list is Patrick Ewing, still 300 points away. If Carter wants top 20, he has to pass Jerry West’s 25192. Can he do it? His body has held up remarkably well up to this point, but all it takes is one injury and that will be it. It doesn’t even have to be that major of an injury; at his age, any significant loss of skill/mobility will make him obsolete. All these young kids coming into the league, able to run and jump for hours without getting tired, it must be weird for him, knowing that he used to be that kid. Props to him for hanging on, and not just hanging on, but thriving, all the way into his 40s.

Oh, and Adam Silver, if you’re reading this, I’m still waiting for that Vince Carter Full Career Dunkilation.
