Ty Lawson Triple Double 22 Pts/12 Asts/11 Rebs Full Highlights (4/11/2017)

I’m extremely surprised that this is the first triple-double of Ty Lawson’s career. He averaged 15 and 10 a couple years ago on the Nuggets (the year before his career totally derailed); normally players averaging double-digit points and assists are gonna statpad their way to at least a few 10-rebound games. All it takes usually is a few easy rebounds that your teammates let you have, and BAM, trippy-doobie. I guess his lack of such a feat means he has more respect for the sanctity of the game of basketball than a certain MVP candidate this year. SHADE ALERT!

It’s late in the season, but this performance is only more evidence that Lawson is slowly regaining his form. He now has three straight 20-10 games, if you ignore his DNP. In this season of insane statlines, 20 and 10 isn’t super notable, but it’s good to see for a guy many people (including me) left for dead. I’m so glad for him that I deleted the whole big description I had written where he continues his pathetic exploits as a inveterate drunkard.

Maybe if you guys are really nice I’ll post a sentence or two from it. It was a pretty funny bit of writing, but it turns out DTB is a big softy after all.
