The season ends with me having done Marshall Plumlee highlights but not Miles Plumlee highlights. This is humorous because of their respective contract situations; Miles is getting paid 15 million per season, while Marshall is compensated for his play with a free gyro every day.
Marshall looks, as far as I can tell, basically the same as his brothers. Short arms, big vertical, little in the way of shotmaking ability outside the paint. He hasn’t done much this year, even though the Knicks have been an absolute trainwreck, which I’m sure has disappointed their fanbase who probably believe he’s the answer to all their problems. At the very least, he may be a half-answer to their Joakim Noah problem. That much I can concede. Otherwise, he’s a marginal talent who may one day reach the heights of Miles. 14 points tonight is by far the best performance of his career, reminiscent of those games Miles had at the end of the season to earn him that bananas contract.
Sidenote: I still can’t believe the Hornets traded for Miles. At this point, Marshall is the much greater value, as I alluded to in the first paragraph. I love the NBA for providing me with so many funny moments.
