Khris Middleton pretty much dominated the first 6 minutes of this game with his scoring. It didn’t even matter that he only scored 9 more points the rest of the game; the Raptors withered quickly under his initial assault, and it was all mop-up duty after that. The Rip Hamilton comp that was thrown out by one of the commentators during his mini run may have been a little much, but it was good to see Middleton get some love from someone that isn’t a Bucks fan. Remember, he was the Bucks best player last year, and he has remained super solid even after that gruesome injury he suffered.
Sidenote: is it a bad thing that Middleton and Brogdon are the only ones on this team who can even pretend to run a pick-and-roll? I swear Middleton finds Greg Monroe for more easy baskets than any other player on the team by far. Offseason plan for Giannis: learn to run the pick-and-roll.
Sidenote two: I don’t even know what happened to the Raptors tonight, but I do know that watching Raptors fans implode was almost as fun as the game itself.
