Avery Bradley 24 Points Full Highlights (4/26/2017)

Avery Bradley: could he ever score twenty points per game? Right now he flies under the radar for most fans, but he’s a deceptively good scorer, even if he’s excised the “just inside the three-point line” two-pointers that he was so fond of a few years ago. In fact, I’d say he’s one of the better young shooting guards in the league today (I’m writing this so Celtics fans can be disavowed of the notion that I somehow hate them and their team).

When pondering this question, keep in mind that he scored 16 PPG this season with a high-usage point guard next to him, so twenty isn’t even that far away. Just get him five more field goal attempts per game and he would do it. Also keep in mind that twenty, as a number, is an arbitrary product of our base-10 number system. If Avery is aware of this fact, as he is because I’ve tweeted it to him fifteen times just this morning, he’s not going to gun for twenty just because it’s there. It has to happen because it’s the right thing for his team. Somebody like Jordan Crawford would obviously aim for such a goal if ever given a chance, but not Bradley.

DTB’S OFFICIAL VERDICT: Avery Bradley could score twenty points per game in the perfect situation, but he probably won’t achieve this particular goal in his career unless he inexplicably decides to play in China.
