David Theis is the next Anthony Randolph!
True, Theis doesn’t have quite the Summer League resume that Randolph does, but otherwise, the similaries are uncanny. Both were born in Germany, they can both sometimes take three pointers, and they are both of above average height for a NBA player. I can’t think of any players who share those three characteristics with them, so it’s basically a perfect comparison. Like two peas in a pod.
I will say that this unexpectedly quick 11-point performance more than makes up for my disappointment with Tim Ohlbrecht, who I was really hyped for. Good on you, Germany, for working to right past wrongs.
