It’s not fair. Khris “Khash Money Deuces” Middleton has been not very good most of the season, but puts up an insane 43 points. Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been very good most of the season, gets in foul trouble and contributes far below his norm.
Also Malik Monk went off which DownToBuck is NOT down with. Save it for the other teams, kiddo.
So the Bucks lost, despite Middleton Khashing all over the place in the fourth quarter. He started off hitting a bunch of his classic midrange moneyshots, then moved to the perimeter as the Bucks were in danger of getting blown out. He managed to keep it close-ish with his heroics, but it was too little, too late. I am so mad right now.
Good news for the Bucks is that this probably represents Middleton returning to his usual form, and Giannis isn’t going to be in foul trouble like this every game. The season isn’t over yet. Just give Thon Maker’s minutes to Rashad Vaughn and move Giannis to center and the third seed is still attainable. I’m not even joking. That may sound like a joke, but it’s seriously not.
Note: Khash Money Deuces also had seven dimes, but I didn’t show them because I didn’t want to detract from the sick scoring on display here. Sacrifices must sometimes be made in the name of art.
