Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s jumpshot form is still totally borked. I think it’s as borked as it was when he came into the league, maybe a little better. Remember when Mark Price fixed it? I bet as soon as he left the gym Kidd-Gilchrist automatically reverted to his old ways. Nothing to be done about it now. He has to make it work.
The ESPN commentators in this one barely mentioned him at all, even as he was efficiently hitting a whole bunch of jumpers. They did eventually mention his unorthodox form, but that was basically it for actually talking about the game when it came to MKG. The commentary from the shot where he splits the defenders for a leaning jumper makes it sound like they’re talking about him, but they’re actually talking about Lonzo Ball. Like they couldn’t wait for the Lakers game. Pshaw.
