It’s a good thing my channel name isn’t “WayOfTheWarriors” because that combined with my physical inability to make highlights of star players would mean no vids for my fave team. No one besides the big four ever does anything of note for the Warriors these days. They all play their roles well, yada yada, good supporting cast, blah blah blah, but they never put up numbers.
Tonight was a primo opportunity for some role-players to step into a bigger role with the absence of Durant and Curry. I was getting excited. Maybe some Quinn Cook? Definitely a whole bunch of Omri Casspi! Jordan Bell? First career five by five! Nope. Instead, Patrick McCaw stepped up a bit, and that was about it.
I like Patrick McCaw, but him stepping up is not as exciting as JaVale scoring 20.
16 points, 7 assists, and 4 steals is kind of like what Curry would do, at least. McCaw wasn’t the reason they lost tonight; I place most of the blame on Curry on Durant for not playing even though they both won MVP awards. It’s not the Most Valuable Not Player award, guys. Get your butt in the game and give the fans the show they paid to see.
