Amir Johnson 16 Points Full Highlights (12/10/2017)

Amir Johnson is entering his thirteenth year in the league. Is that crazy or what? I don’t know about you, but every time I see how long Amir has been in the league, I’m caught off guard. He was the last player to be drafted straight out of high school so I guess it makes sense, but the idea that a 30-year-old can have played so many seasons just cooks my noodle. He’s only five years older than Malcolm Brogdon.

Amir’s entire career has been marked by him shooting between 55% and 60% from the field, but this season, he’s all the way down to 51%. I hope this isn’t a sign of his body breaking down because I want him to play two decades in the NBA (something he would achieve at age 38). The 76ers are doing the right thing by limiting his minutes to 15 a game; this maximizes his chances of pulling a “Kurt Thomas” and playing until he’s 43 and notching a cool quarter-century in the NBA, although I shouldn’t really call it a “Kurt Thomas” since that dude was only forty when he hung up the sneakers for good. What a wimp.
