Something’s up with Nikola Jokic. He’s not his normal self. His field-goal percentage is tanking, causing him to not be as aggressive trying to score. That 41-point game seems an eternity ago. He had a game with ten (10) turnovers. Where are the assists? Are the scorekeepers gypping him? In any case, he’s just not looking as composed out there.
Luckily for the Nuggets, even uncomposed Jokic is still a really good player. He had a nice game tonight, even if his scoring slowed way down in the second half. His passing tonight was reminiscent of his best work last season. It’s telling that I’m referring to a triple-double by a bigman as merely “nice”, but that speaks to the level Jokic has already set for himself. I’m not too concerned at the moment, but if present trends continue, that may change. In the meantime, I’m firmly on the Bogdan Bogdanovic bandwagonovic. And there’s still plenty of space.
