Mario Hezonja has now had 10 double-digit scoring games this season. That’s how many he had last year, but these are even more double-digit than those and he didn’t take nearly as long getting them. My excitement for his newfound scoring ability is tempered by the fact that only one of those games resulted in a win, but only slightly. It’s not his fault that the Magic’s roster construction is so bad.
If this is a ploy by the Magic to get his trade value up, it’s working. We’re at the point now where some team might give up something of actual worth to get him on their team and develop him further. Maybe. At least, there’s a foundation to build off of now, where before there was just a big hole in the ground. How’s that for a metaphor? I should be a writer.
