Milos Teodosic is slowly but surely dragging his field goal percentage out of the gutter as he becomes acclimated to the NBA game and as his foot injury bothers him less and less. In January he’s averaging 11 points and 5 assists on 47% shooting (43% from three), a far cry from the month of December where his shooting percentages were so low that I feel uncomfortable typing them.
And we still don’t know how he’ll mesh with both Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan back at full health. This year he’s played very few minutes with both those guys at the same time. For reference, his most-used lineup involves Willie Reed and Tyrone Wallace, and the next-most-used lineup involves C.J. Williams and Jamil Wilson, the latter of whom isn’t even on the team anymore. I just want to see what kind of damage Teodosic can wreak when playing with a Lou Will-Healthy Gallinari-Griffin-Jordan lineup. How do you say “unstoppable assist machine” in Serbian?
Better call him “radar-man”.
But he is not just a facilitator. Keep in mind that he has been go-to guy and clutch player thoughout his career, a great shooter. He needs to get to his regular 20-25 ppg in order to be even more dangerous as an assistant. He will get there very soon and then you ll see true potential of Clippers team.
