I really, really want to complain about Bryn “Brynk of Insanity” Forbes not getting enough minutes, but even I can’t carp about his playing time. With this confidence from the coaching staff, it is now up to him to go out there and do the things that he was doing in Summer League.
That means 30 points per game. It’s gonna be tough, and he might have to step on some toes to get there, but I think he can do it. And when I say “some toes” I really mean “all available toes” because he’s likely gonna need to shoot on two-thirds of the possessions for this to work. He was almost there tonight, but that was with hot shooting. On nights when he is off, and there will be plenty of them, it might not end up looking like the beautiful Spursball we are used to. But you know what they say: there’s no such thing as a free lunch. In this case, there’s no such thing as a watchable Bryn-Forbes-averaging-30-for-the-rest-of-the-season.
