Donovan Mitchell 35 Points Full Highlights (3/23/2018)

35 shots for 35 points. That, in case you didn’t realize, is a LOT of shots. Bradley Beal took 37 in a game this season, and Anthony Davis took 35 in one as well (but has three other games with 34, damn, he’s a chucker), and that’s it for dudes who have taken that many. No LeBron, no Westbrook, no Durant or Curry or DeRozan or Booker or the other Booker. It’s hard not to be impressed with Mitchell’s unflinching willingness to shoot shots. Horrified and also impressed.

It seemed like almost all of the 14 shots he ended up making came after the two-minute warning in regulation. He was clutch, no doubt about it. REALLY clutch. He’s the guy who takes the big shots for the Jazz, and tonight, he delivered in a big way. Unfortunately, he personally allowed LaMarcus Aldridge to drop 45 (wasn’t that dude washed up a year ago?????), and the Jazz couldn’t make it happen in overtime. Not for lack of trying on Mitchell’s part, but he used up all his ridiculous-shot making ability just to get them there.
