There will undoubtedly be some outraged Knicks fan in the comments of this video informing me that Tim Hardaway Jr. also had five assists in this game and why aren’t the assists being shown? I would like to address this future commenter directly.
I didn’t include the assists because nobody wants to watch THJ pass the ball. They want to watch THJ score the ball. If there was actually some deviant sicko out there who took perverse pleasure in watching THJ get assists, their perversion would be misplaced because he doesn’t usually get assists. It’s like having a hard-on for Nikola Jokic dunks when that dude dunks it, at most, two times per season.
Also, assists would break up the intense flow of nonstop scoring highlights. I’m all about flow. My highlights have flow and it cannot be compromised unless its by my own laziness/incompetence/kitty taking control of the highlight-creation process while I’m cleaning out his poop box.
