It’s a good thing I didn’t vocalize any of my stupid pessimistic pre-season opinions about Cedi Osman because if I did you guys would dig them up and make me look like a stupid hater idiot. Normally when I hear that such-and-so player has been “in the gym every day” and “talking with LeBron” I’m like, yeah, you and everyone else. Maybe not the LeBron part, but a young player working hard over the summer is not exactly unheard of.
If I had watched some of Osman’s national team action over in Euro-land maybe I would’ve gotten a clue that he’d be a beast this season, but I didn’t, and that’s not my fault. It’s not my fault that time zones are incomprehensible and every time I tried to watch I ended up a few hours off and ended up seeing third-tier Turkish soccer matches instead.
I couldn’t believe some of the shots he was taking (and making) tonight. Since when does he shoot swaggy midrange jumpers off the dribble? Hardly anyone does that anymore. And since when does he have LeBron-esque passing ability? Don’t tell me that he had that last year. Maybe he had flashes of it last year, at most.
Cavs fans were right about this dude. I said it last description, but they’re even more right now. I can’t believe it. I would say something snarky like “even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while” but I won’t because I secretly really hate receiving dislikes on my videos. It ruins my entire day if I get more than two or three.
