This video features not just one but TWO jumpshots from JaVale McGee. Not only where they real-life honest-to-god jumpshots, but they were pretty much turnaround jumpshots. For a guy who has been considered nothing but a dunk factory for his entire time in the NBA, that’s not only a good omen for his development; that’s a boon for highlight makers as well.
Maybe I’m being a little obtuse. A few jumpshots sprinkled into otherwise dunk- and block-heavy highlight videos isn’t going to all of a sudden get me more subscribers. So let me put it in simple words that even you can understand:
JaVale McGee Jumperilation.
Yes. If this continues, such an -ilation will definitely be happening. Everybody will want to watch it because McGee has been a meme player for a decade now and people love watching meme players because it’s funny to them, especially if the player in question is doing something extra funny like taking off-balance jumpshots.
This concept has me so excited that I can’t even comment on the fisticuffs that happened during this game just a minute after McGee’s final dunk, except to speculate on what would happen if McGee tried to punch somebody. Would it be funny or would it just ruin his reputation as a good-natured knucklehead?
