I feel like the Celtics should have beaten the Knicks by more than just two points. The Celtics are a team chock-full of star power, whereas the Knicks are a team chock-full of…well, they’re not chock-full of star power, that’s for sure. Jayson Tatum did his part to bring the Celtics the victory, but what were the rest of his so-called “teammates” doing out there?
Jayloser Brown: 7 points, 2-of-9 shooting
Kybrick Irving: 16 points, 5-of-16 shooting
L Horford: 8 points, 3-of-7 shooting
Gordead Hayward: 0 points, 0-of-0 shooting, was almost inivisible on the court
Meanwhile, Tatum was relatively efficient (8 of 15) and made up for his unclutch missed dunk in the final minute by sinking a clutch turnaround jimbo right afterwards, then putting the clutch icing on the clutch cake by clutchly hitting two clutch free throws with just seconds left. His teammates basically all said to themselves “it’s okay if we lose to the Knicks this one time” but Tatum dragged them to victory regardless.
