Full disclosure: Alex Len is shooting threes now, but you don’t get to see that in this video. Do not click on this video if your only reason for doing is to see Len make jumpers, even two-point ones. You would be disappointed.
On the other hand, if you want to see him throw down some dunks and reject some shots, like a proper center should, then you’ve come to the right video. Such a skillset would make him comparable to something like a Miles Plumlee if that’s all he could do, so it’s good that he can do more when he feels like. No one wants their 5th overall pick center to be a strictly around-the-rim player.
Trae Young might be a better passer than anyone else Len has ever played with, but I’m not convinced. What I am convinced of is that Len had never faced a weaker defense than the Cavaliers’ tonight. Do they even have any centers? Would it matter if they did? Len had his way with whoever the Cavs were putting on him, and was only slowed down because everyone else on the team also had an easy job of scoring and there weren’t enough shots to go around.
