Markieff Morris 28 Points/6 Threes Full Highlights (10/22/2018)

Markieff Morris had just eleven points going into the fourth quarter of this game, then scored eight in the last three minutes of regulation and nine in overtime. Given those numbers, which, by their intrinsic numerological nature, are irrefutable, is it fair to say that Markieff WON the game for the Wizards? I think such a declaration would be eminently fair.

Now that we’re on the subject, I wonder how many games Ms has won for his teams over the years? It can’t be all that many, because he’s always been in that gray area of “better than a mediocre scorer, but not a pure scorer either”, but I’m sure it’s at least three or four. Well, now he can add this one unambiguously to that list because he definitely was the most important ‘Zard on the court tonight.

Side note: if Markieff ends the season scoring 16 PPG like he is right now, he will officially become one of those players where you look at his basketball-reference page, see he randomly scored 16 PPG for one season, and raise your eyebrow while wondering what had to be wrong with that team for him to average such an anomalous amount of points.
