Admit it, you forgot about Terrence Ross for a while there, didn’t you. There is no shame in that, don’t worry. The Magic have given the average NBA fan no reason at all to notice what players they have and what those players are doing. And even if you did manage to catch a Magic game or two last year, Ross probably wasn’t playing due to injury. And if he was playing, he probably wasn’t doing much.
Ross is uninjured now, but those other things are still true. We all know about his 51-point bonanza, but that was so long ago now that there are multi-year NBA fans who might not even be aware of it. Or of the fact that he won a dunk contest. I’ll be honest, sometimes I forget about that one, but that’s because dunk contests mean nothing to me.
He’s still getting paid 10 million, so good for him. That’s not even that much of an overpay if he lived up to his potential or whatever. He hasn’t, and he probably won’t ever, but you never know. Maybe these 21 points are the start of the Ross era of Orlando basketball. Rossanity.
