I don’t know why I think Danilo Gallinari is way older than he is. I guess because he’s been in the league for a decade now, but he’s only 30 years old. Every year I think it’s going to be the last year where he’s good, and that he’ll come into the season totally unable to score. And I keep being wrong.
He even looks like he’s regained a little athleticism after whatever injury he had. He’s dunking it slightly harder when he gets the chance.
And don’t look now, but he’s shooting 97 percent from the line after a 10/10 performance there tonight. You know that scene from Rambo II where Rambo says into the radio “Murdoch… I’m coming to get YOU!” and it cuts to a shot of Murdoch looking like he just crapped his pants? That’s what it’s like with Gallo and him coming after Jose Calderon’s single-season free-throw percentage record. If I were good at actually editing video and not just splicing together NBA clips I’d repurpose the scene with their faces photoshopped on it and upload it. But I’m not, and it’s probably funnier in my head anyway.
