Basketball-wise, I don’t care that Tony Parker is on the Hornets now. There’s no sentimentality or anything for me seeing him in a new uni. What is a problem, though, is that he totally messed up the aesthetic-ness of his basketball-reference page. Looking at his career, there’s like 15 rows in a row that start with “SAS”, and it’s really pleasing to the eye, and then the last row says “CHO” and it turns to suck. I don’t have to see at anymore because of my custom CSS and javascript that I inject into the page to make things look and behave the way I want (in this case putting dancing cat gifs everywhere and removing any rows for players that I don’t think should exist, like Jordan’s retirements or JJ Redick’s Bucks career), but it still sucks for all the plebs out there.
If you want the code so you can hack your bball-ref experience, just send me a check for 100 dollars made out to “Mr. Down To Buck” and I’ll print it out and send it to you. You’ll have to retype it out before it will work, obviously. And I’m not offering any tech support.
