Let me tell you something: I have already begun preliminary work on this year’s Brook Lopez Three-ilation (That’s “three compilation” for those unfamiliar with the parlance of DownToBuck), and I’m telling you right now, this is going to be the sickest three-ilation that anybody’s ever seen. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is as consistently outrageous with their three-point attempts as Brook Lopez is. Maybe Luka Doncic gets close, but I’m still giving the title of “Most Outrageous Three-Point Attempts” award to Blopez. Because Blopez is a seven-footer doing these stepback threes and sidestep threes and ultra-deep threes.
Lopez only added to his collection of highlight-worthy triples in this one, hitting five such shots. The stepback on Steven Adams, who had sniffed out the move and was right in Blopez’s face, was particularly nasty. I privately replayed that one so many times that I entered a semi-hypnotic state where all I could think about doing was dropping all my other NBA-related projects to focus solely on creating the world’s ultimate Brook Lopez three-point compilation.
I did eventually snap out of it, only to find that I had deleted seven year’s worth of archived videos from my highlights archivium, leaving only Brook Lopez highlights in place. Oopsie.
