Kelly Olynyk 19 Points Full Highlights (11/27/2019)

How could roster-construction errors of such magnitude be allowed to happen? The amount of redundancy on the Heat roster is astounding. Kelly Olynyk and Meyers Leonard are the SAME player. They are literally, besides being two separate human beings (and one of them being Canadian), the same. Not only is it a waste of a roster spot to have a guy who is exactly like another guy, but it robs the rest of the NBA of a guy like that.

I can think of plenty of teams who would want a super-soft, slow-footed, three-point shooting (with odd mechanics) 7-foot white bigman. Pretty much every team wants a stretch 5 like that, soft or not, white or not. But here the Heat are just hoarding them all. Might as well sign Luke Kornet while you’re at it.

Olynyk has been not doing quite as well as Leonard to start the season, probably because he isn’t as quick to dunk it as Leonard. So I guess they’re not exactly the same; Leonard is prone to poster dunks, while Olynyk would rather lay it up and then brush stray strands of hair out of his face.
