I have come to the regrettable conclusion that Tim Hardaway Jr. is at the forefront of the NBA when it comes to players who score 15 PPG per game but still have a hard time getting anybody, even fans of their own team, to care about them. I have done advanced machine-learning analysis on the view counts of my videos to come to this conclusion, and the inarguable conclusivity of my results is, frankly, too conclusive to entertain any dissent at all.
Looking at the list of players averaging fifteen, a list which numbers 73 players, only a few can definitely be said to be less beloved than THJ. Dillon Brooks is definitely one. Alec Burks is certainly up there (although he’s not gonna be averaging fifteen PPG per game for much longer if his tenure in Philly continues on its set course). Will Barton and Terrence Ross just barely miss the cutoff, but they’d be among this sad group as well.
You would think that Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis fans would be interested to watch the exploits of the guy who is the third-best player on the Mavericks, but nope. They apparently don’t care. Neither do Mavs fans especially care, perhaps because THJ is what he is at this point, a slightly bigger and slightly more restrained Lou Williams. If I were to find a theoretical THJ fan club, even they wouldn’t want to watch this video, but I doubt such a club exists. If it does exist, it is probably full of devotees who remember THJ’s presumably successful high school career and don’t care about anything after that point.
Even I don’t care about this video. I’m never going to watch it. I barely watched it while I was making it.
