So it turns out that, all along, Shaquille “Shaqalici” Harrison was getting held down by…Zach LaVine? I guess that makes sense, but I just assumed that Harrison didn’t have this kind of scoring potency brewing in his loins. In order to be held down you have to be worth holding down. It never occurred to me that Harrison might be getting held down on the Bulls.
Add Harrison to the list of players who do better when non-All-Star LaVine is in the lineup. That list currently stands at just one player since I’m on the fence about putting Coby White on it (White had some really good games while LaVine was active). So, in that sense, it’s not even a list, since a list has to have more than two items in it. A list with just Shaq Harrison on it isn’t a list. It’s just Shaq Harrison. By himself. Getting held down by Zach LaVine.
It’s also worth nothing that Harrison had a scrub-by-five tonight by recording at least two in each major boxscore stat (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks). I didn’t show all those miscellaneous stats since it would have diminished the pure intensity that this video possesses, but it’s information that is worth knowing. A true five-by-five, and not just a scrub-by-five, is a long way off, but who knows? If LaVine ends up missing more time, we might be seeing some more of Shaquille Harrison in the near future.
