Pat Connaughton 15 Points Full Highlights (8/20/2020)

Pat Connaughton AKA Patty Ice AKA Positive Connaughtations is the kind of player who is fun to have on your team, but is also the kind of player who shouldn’t be counted on to do too much, and DEFINITELY shouldn’t be counted on to perform consistently well night in and night out. Most of his shot attempts come from three, but he’s not especially good at threes (33%, a perferct percentage for threes since it contains so many of that particular digit), so the result is some real dud games mixed in with some really okay games.

I said that Patty Ice is a “fun” player to have on the Bucks, but then I ragged on him for being inconsistent, so where does the “funness” come into play? Well, you get a glimpse of it in this video, when he successfully defends a two-on-one fastbreak by solidly rejecting Wes Iwundu’s dunk attempt. You’ll see it in other games were he jumps really high in the air for a putback dunk, or when he jumps really high in the air simply to grab a rebound, that’s pretty fun too. It’s like the second coming of Jamario Moon. Real NBA highlights enthusiasts will know what I’m talking about here.

Now that Patty Ice has had a good game this series, I’ll give him a pass when he only scores ten total points through the next three games. But Khris Middleton will get no such passes. Two points man, come on, what the heck are you doing?
