Bol Bol 11 Points Full Highlights (8/21/2020)

Bol Bol has been getting a lot of attention in The Bubb for a number of reasons:

-His immense height
-His ability to shoot threes like a trebuchet
-His lineage
-The fact that he was allegedly played at the small forward position because of the Nuggets’ depleted roster
-His massive stature
-His penchant for yelling “suck my Bols” after every made field goal

I don’t usually get caught up in the hype machines for these end-of-bench meme players (I’m usually trying to start the hype machines for end-of-bench players, instead), but I have to admit, I, too, was intrigued by the potential of Bol Bol. When he started getting real minutes with the Nuggets, I paid close attention, because what could be more awesome than a gangly 7’2″ dude (who looks taller than that) running around shooting jumpshots and being freakishly tall?

Bol already has a more refined touch than his father, Manute, ever did from three. Manute had six threes in a game once, but if you strike those from the record, he’s probably a 5% shooter from three in his career. His son is definitely more comfortable shooting the rock, and his shot mechanics are SLIGHTLY more conventional, which certainly helps.

Unfortunately for Nuggets fans, this success for Bol comes along with failure for the team as a whole. He first checked into the game in the fourth quarter when all hope was already lost. At least this highlight video will tide them over for an offseason with no Summer League.
