Myles Turner 22 Points/5 Blocks Full Highlights (8/24/2020)

You know what would be the saddest thing ever?

If Myles Turner befriended a family of ducks while in Orlando and now he has to leave really quickly (because eliminated teams have to be out of the bubble within 24 hours), but now he’s running around the entire bubble looking for the ducks so he can say goodbye to them but he can’t find them.

Wouldn’t that be the most heart-wrenching and soul-crushing thing in the history of things?

He spent hours just lying on the ground while the little baby ducks crawled all over him and chirped happily. Meanwhile the mom sat to the side, supervising while also nibbling on the bread crusts that Myles saved from his bubble meals. He giggled as the ducklings’ tiny feet made minute scratches on his exposed skin. The most unlikely of friends, but also the closest of friends. And now he can’t find them.

“Little duckies! Little duckies! Where are you?” Myles calls out, looking under bushes and in the alleys between buildings but not finding any sign of the little yellow ducklings or their mom. Lightning flashes overhead. As the first clap of thunder reaches his ears, rain begins to pour from the sky. But Myles doesn’t feel the soaking wetness which drenches him, nor does he register any danger from lightning strikes as he runs across the wide open lawns, calling out for his beloved duck friends.

Five hours later, with the downpour showing no signs of relenting, Myles collapses to his knees, exhausted and defeated. He years to hear the happy chirps of the little ones just one more time, to hold their tiny bodies in his palm and nuzzle his beaks with his nose. “Please, God, please…” Myles prays, but there is no response. He falls forward, face down in the grass.

A shadow looms over him. Myles looks up and sees Malcolm Brogdon standing over him. “The bus to the airport is about to leave. Did you even pack?”

Myles doesn’t move. He is thankful that the rain disguises his tears. “Goodbye…” he whispers.

Man, I’m glad that didn’t really happen. That would be way too sad for me.
