Even though DeMarcus Cousins had 55 points in a winning effort, I think it’s fair to say that he was embarrassed by Mason Plumlee tonight. I counted three separate posters performed by Mason onto DeMarcus’ pouting face, with a fourth one that could go either way. That’s a lot of material for my upcoming “DTB’s Best NBA Dunks of the Month (December 2016 Dunkilation)” video. Going to have to put a mini Plumlee-ilation in there.
Combine his 8 dunks with a variety of other positives, like the ridiculous putback tip he had or the sweet dimes to teammates, and you have the defining game of Mason’s career. Sure, the Trailblazers lost. Who cares? David Thompson had the one of the highest-scoring games ever and no one remembers that his team was the loser. No one will remember the outcome of this one either; they will only remember the terror that Mason brought from the skies.
Meanwhile, Miles Plumlee got another DNP after getting paid a huge contract, and Marshall Plumlee got another DND because he is too raw to do even think about doing anything. I guess we figure out who the superior Plumlee is, didn’t we?
