If I hear that Spurs announcer (is he the one that everyone hates? probably) say “GOOD ON YA PATTY!!!!!!” one more time, I think I’m going to go nuts. Can’t we get Patty Mills back on the Blazers so we don’t have to hear any more patronizing Faux-stralian accents? They loved him there. I’m sure Spurs fans love Patty also, and that’s great. But he needs to go somewhere where his proud heritage isn’t routinely mocked. And it doesn’t have to be Portland.
Maybe… Philadelphia! Hell yeah! I want at least a small taste of Patty Mills being one of the main bananas on a team before he reites. He can’t get that on the Spurs unless Popovich is in one of his “rest everybody” moods.
And yes, before you say it, I DO often suggest for players to get traded to the 76ers. That’s because I want to see roleplayers and scrubs succeed, and that’s the most likely place for them to do it. Not winning-wise, but stats-wise, which is all I care about.
