Rudy Gobert should be an All-Star this year. No jokes, no sarcasm, no trying to make a point by making a ridiculous statement. I truly believe that Gobert should be an All-Star. Since this is a Rudy Gobert vid, most of you will agree with me, but if you don’t, I invite you to close your browser tab and instead go masturbate to some DeMarcus Cousins empty-stat highlights.
Rudy is averaging an efficient 12 and 12, to go with his stifling defense. Maybe not All-Star-caliber numbers on the surface, I admit. But when you consider his impact on the Jazz, which is immense, I think you have to give him a serious look. His team is 21 and 13 with him leading the way. Sure, Gordon Hayward or Rodney Hood might put up the prettier stats. Take Gobert away, though, and you’d soon find the losses piling up.
I mean, Roy “Can’t Do a Pushup” Hibbert was a frickin’ All-Star. So there’s precedent here. Am I being ridiculous? Closed-minded? Hasty? I don’t think so.
