I don’t really have an opinion on Hack-a-whatever. I leave the opinions to the tryhards who care deeply about the rules of basketball. That said, Hack-a-Cap pretty much ruined my highlight video from a pacing perspective. It was proceeding along just fine with plenty of dunks and layups from the Capellmeister until the Grizzlies decided they needed to slow down the game to have a chance, so they started hacking harder than skinny Russian nerds going after the email accounts of American politicians. Now the viewer is subjected to a full half-minute of nothing but free throws. As I said, it’s totally ruined.
On the other hand, I guess we can thank the Grizzlies for practically gifting Capela his new career high. He probably wouldn’t have gotten there without a bunch of free trips to the welfare stripe. It doesn’t quite make up for the fact that my video is ruined to the point where I hesitated in uploading it, but it elevates the video from “utterly worthless, literally without worth” to “mostly worthless”.
By the way, I didn’t put “career high” in the video title because I’m pretty sure Capela will score thirty at some point as long as he gets to keep catching lobs from Harden.
