Alan Williams 16 Points Full Highlights (3/9/2017)

Can Alan Williams even dunk? Unlike his major competitor for minutes, Marquese Chriss, Williams plays like he has the hops of a nursing home resident. Basketball-reference alleges that he has indeed dunked it twice this year, which seems exceedingly low for a power forward. I bet Tyler Ulis has more dunks than him.

More investigation into his shooting tendencies reveal that he has not even attempted a midrange jumper or a three-pointer this year. The box-scores sometimes list things like “8 ft. jumpshot” for him, but those are usually push shots off of offensive rebounds. Who knows what would happen if he actually squared up and tried to shoot a jumpshot. It would probably airball like when Rudy Gobert tried it. But, as the season winds down and the Suns remain in their spot at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, we might see Williams given slightly more offensive freedom. If that does happen, I will be the first in line to make highlights of his newfound offensive skillset, and I’ll also be first in line to complain about having to make ANOTHER Alan Williams highlight video.
