It’s been a while (a year and four months), but Christian “Hard” Wood is finally making his long-awaited return to my channel! I knew, back when he scored 15 for the 76ers back in November of 2015, that a talent of his magnitude would not be able to be held down forever. True fans of Hard-Wood will have noticed that he’s been kind of dominating the D-League. That was a great sign for his future as a real-life NBA player. 45 points and 8 blocks in a game, even against subpar talent, means something. In this case, it means he can get called up and score 14 in a game.
With Frank Kaminsky out, the Hornets have been giving Hard-Wood a few minutes instead of just letting him sit on the bench. They’re still too good of a team to give him real minutes unless, like tonight, it’s a total blowout. Hard-Wood did almost all of his damage in the fourth quarter tonight as the Magic fielded a laughable lineup of scrubs. What are Stephen Zimmerman and Damjan Rudez gonna do against Hard-Wood? Nothing, as it turned out. Hopefully this performance leads to more playing time in the future; I remember how much hype this guy had and I want to see it realized, at least partially.
