Patty Mills 21 Points/5 Threes Full Highlights (3/11/2017)

The stars seemed to have been aligned perfectly for Patty Mills to have a monster game. Not only were the main scorers on his team (Leonard and Aldridge) out for various reasons, but he was matched up against a team missing all of its own star players, including the ones that play defense. When all that is factored in to the equation, it’s not too surprising that Patty Melt scored 21 points in the first half. What’s surprising is that he didn’t score any more points in the second half.

Talk about disappointing. Mills missed all three shots he took in the second half, and then he got to enjoy a comfy seat on the bench for the rest of the game because it was such a blowout. I’m sure he enjoyed returning to his traditional role of waving towels, but it would have been way more awesome if it was his teammates waving the towels as he reached, then surpassed, the forty-point barrier. I’m getting tingly just thinking about it.

DTB has good news for his viewers, though. If you turn off the commentary and cover up the part of the screen where they show the score, you can just play the video a second time and pretend that Mills scored 42 like he was supposed to! I just tried it and it really works! Nothing’s stopping me from watching him score 63!
