Shabazz Muhammad 21 Points Full Highlights (3/15/2017)

Out of players who average at least fifteen minutes per game, Shabazz Muhammad is second-worst in terms of passes per game, at just 8.8. Anthony Morrow is worse, but that’s because Anthony Morrow’s job is to shoot the ball when he gets the ball. That’s not necessarily Shabazz’s job, but he’s made it into his job: he nearly always looks to score when the ball enters his possession.

The crazy thing is 8.8 passes per game is significantly lower than many other shoot-first guys who are near him on the list. I don’t know if this is a consequence of the offensive scheme or what, but even dudes like C.J. Miles and Wayne Ellington, who are straight-up shooters and nothing else, average twice the passes that the Wizard of Bazz does. I’m bad at analyzing stats (I only pretend to know things about basketball) but this seems like a bad omen for the Bazztard.

In case you’re curious, Ricky Rubio is third in passes per game at over 66. Behind Harden and…T.J. McConnell. Um.
